Pittsburgh Pirate named Captain Kidd There is a legend that a treasure is buried in the Monongahela River near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

The treasure is said to have been buried by a pirate named Captain Kidd, who was active in the area in the early 1700s. Kidd is said to have buried the treasure near the mouth of the Monongahela River, where it would be difficult to find.

The legend of the buried treasure has been around for centuries, and there have been many attempts to find it. However, no one has ever been successful. The treasure is said to be worth millions of dollars, and it would be a valuable find for anyone who could locate it.

In recent years, there has been renewed interest in the legend of the buried treasure. A number of people have claimed to have found the treasure, but none of these claims have been verified. The treasure is still a mystery, and it remains to be seen if it will ever be found.

Here are some additional details about the legend of the buried treasure:

  • The treasure is said to be buried in a chest made of wood or iron.

  • The chest is said to be filled with gold, silver, and jewels.

  • The treasure is said to be guarded by a ghost or a curse.

  • The treasure is said to be located near the mouth of the Monongahela River, near the Point State Park.

There are a number of reasons why people believe that the treasure is real. First, there is historical evidence that Captain Kidd was active in the area in the early 1700s. Second, there have been many attempts to find the treasure, which suggests that people believe it is real. Third, the treasure is said to be worth millions of dollars, which would make it a valuable find.
